The Full Story
A Lifetime of Creativity
Elizabeth OHara started her career in a non-traditional way. Joining the Navy at the age of twenty, she began training to become a Nuclear Machinist Mate, and later an Engineering Laboratory Technician. She spent three years in the military, during which she completed one of the Navy’s hardest training programs and completed her Associate’s Degree in Math and Science from Onondaga Community College.
During her training, Elizabeth spent the majority of her time in a leadership position, taking on extra responsibilities and helping her fellow classmates learn and succeed. As she was preparing to leave the Navy, she managed a naval calibration lab’s inventory of repair components for ships and submarines. During her free time, she explored creative avenues. Storytelling, painting, and drawing were all skills she hoped to advance.
Once Elizabeth’s time in the Navy was complete, she went back to college at Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Originally working towards a Bachelor’s of Fine Art in Interior Architecture, she realized her true passion was in video game design, and switched majors. Currently, she is halfway through her major and enhancing her skills in 3d modelling, scripting, storytelling, and level design. She hopes to pursue an internship or side projects next summer to add to her experience.
